LIPSTICKS CURRENTLY ON ROTATION #5

beauty blogger
Now that we're nearing the end of July, I've slowly started to incorporate transitional shades into my make up bag. Whilst my most worn lipsticks are still predominantly summery pinks, hints of red will carry me through to August too.

L'Oreal Color Riche Exclusive Reds Blake: Although more appropriate for the winter months, this matte pure red lipstick is simply stunning and a shade that I've been reaching for all year round. It's the perfect red lipstick that works well with matte eyeshadows, winged liner, shimmery golds and browns and a fresh, dewy complexion. It contains jojoba oil to keep lips soft and lasts well on the lips, see it swatched here.

Revlon Showy Colourburst Matte Balm: This pretty, powder pink lip crayon looks flattering on the lips and has blue undertones to make teeth look whiter. It has a long lasting, pigmented, matte formula which can show up any dryness or imperfections and so it's beneficial to use a good lip scrub and balm before application. See me wearing it here.

Korres Lip Butter Pomegranate: A combination of nourishing ingredients like shea butter and rice wax help to provide deep hydration from this buttery tinted balm, leaving lips soft and nourished. I feel like this is a great July/August shade as it's strawberry and coral tones are still quite summery but it has warmth and depth that start to hint at autumn tones too.

Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Yu: A swipe of this long lasting, blue toned pink lipstick instantly freshens up your make up look. I've been wearing this dabbed on and then patted in with my finger to leave a pretty pink stain to my lips, it brightens up my make up and is perfect for gloomy summer days. See it swatched here.

Maybelline Colour Sensational lipstick in Fuchsia Flash: This bright, fuchsia pink lipstick is creamy and hydrating thanks to it's nourishing honey nectar formula. It looks incredible paired with a shimmery champagne eyeshadow and tons of mascara, it's also a great alternative to Chanel La Diva for just a fraction of the price, see comparison swatches here.
